Lying press
Two heavy wooden cheeks drawn together by screws. Laid flat, it holds a text block for backing or ploughing; stood on its edge in a tub, it becomes the finishing press for tooling the spine.
A demonstration: the craft terms are real, the site is invented. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; every page is complete without scripts.
