Case binding

The cover, or case, is made as one piece of boards and cloth, apart from the sewn text block. The two are joined by gluing the mull and the endpapers to the boards. Fast and sturdy, it is how most hardbacks are made.

A demonstration: the craft terms are real, the site is invented. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; every page is complete without scripts.
